Getting Through It
She’s not mad, she’s just disappointed. Ha! I’m kidding. This one has been desperately wanting out on the deck now that the sun is shining a little more. She doesn’t get that up until this past weekend, it was still cold.
She’s totally excited to report that today was a perfect day out on her deck. Now feed her, now.
In the spirit of spring and youth, I am going back to blonde. Dark is nice and all, but holy crap can you ever see my grey shining like the sun. And for all of you thinking, “What grey?”, my own hair dresser (who is also family) looooooves to point out how much I have. My eyebrows are going gray. You know it’s almost all over when that happens. I like to call them glitter hairs.
Krista and I saw Post Malone for the second time on Valentine’s Day. Again it was an amazing show. Super chill and just fun. Now everyone is carrying on about him looking like shit and being on drugs. Sometimes life catches up to you, when it’s a constant party. Maybe he’s just freaking tired. Me too bro me too.
I got bored over the winter and started teaching myself how to make a planner/ book cover from scratch. I had to teach myself how to use a sewing machine and everything, which was actually pretty fun (and also frustrating!). I haven’t quite perfected the design, but I am getting there.
Dave and I went for a really nice walk on the first Spring day we had this year. It was so nice to have some sun on our face after being closed up all winter. I swear everyone just instantly gets more pleasant when the sun comes out. It doesn’t last long, believe me…the assholes rise up once again to take over. Only this time it’s to complain about the goddamn heat (and everything else in between). I am one of those assholes.
Bought these bedside lamps to make our room look like a place of sin and bawdiness. HA! I’m kidding….I’m old and can’t see anymore when I read in bed. These just so happen to change colors so why not have some fun when I’m not blasting the white light to read?
She was bugging me to feed her here. She likes to crawl up my side when I am asleep and plop herself down where my waist dips (all 20 pounds of her mind you), and rest her head on my butt. And then I roll over and she falls off and gets annoyed and I take pictures.
Also anyone else feel this way at work the past three weeks? Holy shit. So busy but crawling along at a snail’s pace, everyone is miserable because see above….it honestly felt like a test. Thankfully it’s improving.
Mostly because the sun is shining and I can wear a jean jacket.
I hope you are all enjoying this sunny Monday! Here’s to it staying this way until November.
