Saturday Ikea Run — Pandorah's Box

We went to Ikea this past Saturday (woohoo Ikea!!) to get a few things for our bedroom now that it is changed around and wonderful and comfortable and I love it.

So we got up early and headed to Etobicoke for some shopping.

Oh right, we went to Dairy Queen too. Of course we did.

After our busy day of Ikea, donating some clothes, grocery shopping, clothes shopping, picking up alcohol....it was time to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

We only ended up buying a rug for our room, but it really does a lot to cozy up the space. We still need to buy some more stuff, and make it even cozier. Ikea has an AWESOME app that lets you make a shopping list. It tells you the price, if it is in stock at your Ikea of choice, and what area it is in. I love this frigging thing. And no, Ikea did not pay me for this. Just spreading the love.

Slowly but surely it's coming along. When you have gone from having the most uncomfortable, uninviting space ever to something that you love, it's a slow process of love.

Next is replacing the ghetto bedspread. I hate that thing.

We had this rug for TWO DAYS and a cat puked on it. SUCH ASSHOLES.

We also bought the cats a little 'sheepskin' rug to lay on in front of their 'fireplace'. They love the thing. Mew Hefner here (eh Simon? Eh eh!!??) spent the afternoon lounging away on it, reading a magazine with a glass of brandy.
