An Amazing Weekend
This weekend was pretty fantastic. Not only was it a three day weekend, but the weather could not have been more beautiful. Of course, many adventures were waiting to be had, and life did not disappoint.
Look at that sunshine glow would you? The entire weekend was sunny and gorgeous and HOT. But I am not complaining, no sir. Just two weeks ago it was freezing cold.
No fantastic weekend can begin without going to our favorite place for some breakfast. An omelet with roasted pears, swiss chard and brie? Why yes thank you madam. Not only did I eat this and enjoy the crap out of it, we went back on Monday (which was a holiday around these parts) and had it AGAIN.
Look, I pushed all my cucumbers over to the side of the plate. I am not a huge fan. I like them, but not IN things. Just on their own. Same with tomatoes. EXCEPT, I quite enjoy cucumber and tomato salad. Don't try to understand this mess, I don't. It's the same craziness that brings forth the fact that I don't like cake, but I love cupcakes. Right? Who knows.
One day when I am rich I am going to buy everything in this furniture store and find a spot for it in my mansion. I love every piece in here. Yes, I said 'piece', la-di-da.
Gorgeous day.
Mini. Fit all our groceries and there was a lot. Also, it has a sunroof which is aces in my books. We drove around and listened to tunes and loved life
.
We have fun where ever we go.
I suggested that we go to Big Smoke Burger for dinner. They have THE best burgers in the city, at least until I find another joint that's better. Maybe I will stumble upon another, but for right now, they hold the blue ribbon folks.
Oh man, this root beer....I am crying thinking about it. It was delicious. I am reading Stephen King's 11/22/63 and he describes the taste of a root beer from 1958 (in no less than 10 pages mind you), you know, when root beer was DAMN TASTY, and ever since then I have been craving the taste that he describes. And THIS, this was it. Not too sweet, with a bitter aftertaste...I love you Boylan's.
And this is the shit right here. I get the Spicy Burger and it is divine. Caramelized onions and a spicy chipotle mayo are what make this burger. For two burgers and fries it's $25. Shit right? But it's so worth it. Best burgers around.
Drooooooolllllliiiiingg.
Yes.
Catch you on the flip side!
